This space is completely private. Guests have complete access to this studio apartment, though we kindly request guests not open or enter the utility closet in the rear. All reasonable efforts will be made to notify guests ahead of time if hosts need to enter the apartment for maintenance. Guests should also be aware that the upstairs property is a separate airbnb rental and that the entire unit shares a wall with long-term renters in the adjacent townhouse.

We LOVE Old Town!! And we chose our home because it's centrally located in the Old Town/Braddock area. Weather and shoes permitting...you can walk EVERYWHERE! There are scores of restaurants, shops, parks, museums and antique stores to explore. Founded by English and Scottish settlers in 1749, Olde Towne is older than the United States! The stately, old homes and streets are beautiful, and a few are even a bit famous. Less than a 10 minute walk from our home is the longest continuously running farmers market in the country (Saturday mornings in front of city hall, 301 King St). Or take the free King St Trolley to the waterfront for oysters, ice cream and a stroll through city history in the breezeway of the old WWII Torpedo Factory (now a community art center). There's always something great to do, or see--or eat--in Old Town!

Convenient to all of DC! Our home is within a half-mile of both the Braddock metro station and the King St metro* and bus stations. Or sign up for a Capitol Bikeshare membership and explore the city on your own terms. Plus, we are just two blocks from FREE the King St trolley which can take you to dozens of spots for food, entertainment, sightseeing and history along King St between the Washington Masonic Lodge and the Pier. Uber and Lyft as well as numerous electric scooter companies also operate throughout the DC area. *Summer 2019 guests: The entire metro system south of Ronald Reagan Airport (to include our neighborhood) will be closed for renovations from 25 May - 2 September. Busses and water taxis will still be available.

For the safety of our guests and the protection of our property, there are security cameras on all exterior doors.
