We LOVE Old Town!! And we chose our home because it's centrally located in the Old Town/Braddock area. Weather and shoes permitting...you can walk EVERYWHERE! There are scores of restaurants, shops, parks, museums and antique stores to explore.
Founded by English and Scottish settlers in 1749, Olde Towne is older than the United States! The stately, old homes and streets are beautiful, and a few are even a bit famous. Less than a 10 minute walk from our home is the longest continuously running farmers market in the country (Saturday mornings in front of city hall, 301 King St). Or take the free King St Trolley to the waterfront for oysters, ice cream and a stroll through city history in the breezeway of the old WWII Torpedo Factory (now a community art center). There's always something great to do, or see--or eat--in Old Town! At this time we are only able to accommodate stays of at least 5 nights.
