Our foundation
Need + Innovation = Hospitality
In 2017 we searched unsuccessfully for an exceptional property manager for Washington DC Airbnb properties. Short Term Rental (STR) Property Managers are often casual operators, individuals or real estate dabblers. The industry was growing and we knew the time was right for a professional solution.
We brought in a crack team; now part of the company's fabric. We then built Great Dwellings on a set of four, key foundational pillars:

The result? Our DC Area properties grew immediately, and we took on our first multi-unit building in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Today we serve hundreds of individual homeowners and the Developer/Investor community, managing their multi-unit properties. We are DC's largest, and serve hundreds of properties in Mexico, and will double our property count again this year..

The industry
Airbnb Needs Great Dwellings
The most recent Airbnb statistics available from 2022 show that 14,000 new hosts joined the platform each month and there are over 7 million listings worldwide. And yet Airbnb only represents 29% of the market.
Property managers represent only 1% of all hosts but they manage 23% of available listings. Property Management continues to gain market share as single and multifamily owners add inventory, awareness grows for the benefits of professional management and larger companies enter the market. We work closely with Airbnb as well as VRBO and numerous other online services.
